Creating the Hammock Chair
In 1979, Jim Newby designed the Original Hammock Chair along with the process of converting the chair to a hammock position. Jim received a patent for the most comfortable chair imaginable — a nylon, hanging, net-chair that is weather proof and suitable for outdoors as well as indoors. It is convertible to a full length hammock, over 7 ft long. Jim’s Original Hammock Chair is made from 100% Dupont Nylon and the back is adjustable using another patented item: aluminum slides that will easily slide up and down changing your position.
